Let the transformation begin!

My Transformation~

I left the medical field as an Ophthalmic Technician in 2020, the year the world was turned upside down. This was a blessing in disguise, as my anxiety in that setting was starting to cause major health issues. I worked PRN (as-needed) which meant I never knew which area or Doctor I would be working for. I was a pinch-hitter, which provided me the option of saying “no” when asked, but if I wanted to earn money, I had to say yes and do my very best when I was there in order to be called again. On paper, this looked like a sweet deal! I named my pay, and I decide when I’m available. However, the offices I would fill in for were super busy and very stressful. Technology is not always my friend, and it would have me in tears almost every single day. I started developing a nervous tik in my eyes, that would feel like my eyes were jiggling in my head and I couldn’t focus on what was in front of me. Add some Irritable Bowel issues in there, and well, you get the picture. It was a crappy situation. It was time for a PIVOT!

How it all started…

My friend mentioned something about a new makeup she’d seen that was a cream, but you actually used a couple of colors for your foundation and applied it in a Highlight and Contour fashion. Since it was pre-pandemic, she wanted to have an in-person consultation and I thought it sounded intriguing and asked to tag along! I made jokes about my old lady face the whole time we were learning, not expecting anything spectacular to come from the experience. Let me say, I entered that place feeling like a Frumpy Fran and left the place feeling like a Fancy Nancy! Friends, I cried. I’m a crier. There, I said it. Don’t judge.

I shared this new makeup with my daughter. She loved it so much, she joined the Artist Program. I was her very best customer, cheerleader, and advertiser! Not to mention, her first Teammie! We’ve had so much fun learning makeup together and totally geeking out about every new thing that we learn so we can share it with our clients.

If 2020 taught me anything, it was that life was too short to do anything that I didn’t love & that gave me a purpose bigger than myself.

My career is now impactful & meaningful with the flexibility to work from any location on my phone. I feel valued & needed by my clients and have a healthy work/life balance so that I can prioritize time with my family.

I’ve never felt more fulfilled.
