Lumi Brow After Care
-
For the FIRST 48 HRS, please do not touch your brows with your hands or fingernails, sweat excessively, tan or expose brows to sun, or allow them to get wet. (NO hot tubs, pools, lakes, etc. You have an OPEN wound that is very vulnerable to infection during this time period.)
• You may blot any clear lymph fluid from the area with a clean facial tissue if necessary.
• Use the adhesive facial shield provided to protect your brow in the shower for the first 48 hrs.
• You may use a clean, damp washcloth to remove makeup, being mindful to avoid brow area. No makeup or skincare in brow area.
• Use a clean pillowcase during your healing process.
After 48 hrs, gently cleanse brow area with clean, wet fingers and cleanser provided (peach tube) two to three times a day. Wipe off cleanser with clean, wet fingers. Then pat dry with a clean towel. Apply a very thin layer of healing ointment (teal tube) to each brow after each cleansing session. Repeat these steps daily until you have stopped peeling.
• Never pick off the skin that is peeling or try to remove a scab forcefully. This will cause the ink to be removed and can cause an infection.
• Signs of infection: thick, opaque pus, excessive redness or swelling, excessive pain or fever. If any of these are present at any time during your healing process, please consult a physician.
• Please save your aftercare products for your future healing sessions.
• After the peeling has stopped, you may use skincare in brow area and are cleared to use makeup on brows as well.
• Using skin care products with anti-aging ingredients (hyaluronic acid, Retin-A, vitamin C serum, etc.) in them around brows and UV exposure/tanning will accelerate the fading process of the ink implanted, requiring more frequent color refreshing.
